Join us to pray for our city and nation
Background
The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May, inviting people of all faiths to pray for the nation. It was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress, and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman.
The National Day of Prayer has great significance for us as a nation as it enables us to recall and to teach the way in which our founding fathers sought the wisdom of God when faced with critical decisions. It stands as a call for us to humbly come before God, seeking His guidance for our leaders and His grace upon us as a people.
2023 Theme: Building Bridges
Church and ministry leaders will gather to praise God for who he is, encourage personal repentance and righteousness. We will humble ourselves for the next great move of God in the city of Irvine. We will pray for renewal, unity, peace making, and for a fresh outpouring of Holy Spirit to equip and enable us to serve and love our neighbors. There will also be a special time to pray a special blessing for local Civic leaders, First Responders, and Education leaders in attendance with us.
Join with over 10 Irvine churches and bring a friend.
