OUR GUIDING PRINCIPLES

Meet the Team

President

Curtis Drever, President of Love Irvine and one of its founders, is responsible for setting the course and casting vision for the organization, and building a top-notch team. Curtis loves using his God-given passion to encourage and serve others and finds great joy in creating events and opportunities where people can feel more connected to each other and to their community.

Previous to leading Love Irvine, Curtis was the Director of Global Missions and Local Outreach for Shepherd’s Grove Presbyterian Church where he created cross-cultural opportunities for people to get more involved in serving (volunteering) both internationally and locally.

And before that, with a degree in Electrical Engineering from University of the Pacific, Curtis spent over 25 years in High-Tech working in various Sales and Business Development roles at large companies like HP, then transitioning to launching and/or growing small companies and start-ups where he could better utilize his entrepreneurial gifting.

Curtis and his wife Michelle have been married for 39 years, and have two adult sons. They made a commitment early in their marriage to always try and serve (volunteer) and give back. They enjoy inviting people to their home to share a great meal and create space to really get to know people. They love to travel, especially to exotic places where they can hike and explore, and enjoy great cuisine.

I believe in the importance of community because life is tough, and no one should ever, “go it alone.” That is why I lead a men’s group every Tuesday night that hosts between 20-30 men. More importantly, life is so much better when we do it together! What are dreams, if not the realization of our best selves while engaging our community?

I truly live this principle and even graduated in the top five percent of my class while working full-time achieving a Bachelor of Arts in Christian ministry. In my real estate career my impact on the Irvine community is second only to our doctors, teachers and police force.

As an Irvine native who graduated from Northwood High School, I truly love our city. Let’s go Love Irvine!
